If User does not agree with the content of this Policy, he/she/they is/are advised to refrain from using The Company Services.

INFORMATION GATHERED AND TRACKED

The Company gathers the following types of information about users:

  1. Information users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions to register for Cybersecurity Collaboration Forum Events (“Event(s)”), receive our electronic newsletters, participate in message boards or Event{s), to email a colleague, and from participation in polls and surveys, or other functionality offered through the Sites
  2. Information about how users access the Sites, including pages visited throughout Sites, features used, and terms users search
  3. Technical information about the device you use to access The Company Sites, such as IP address, browser type and language, the date and time Sites were accessed, any undeleted cookies your browser previously accepted from The Company Sites, and the referring website address
  4. Personal and non-personal information: updated contact information or additional demographic information, obtained from our partners, affiliates, and other third parties

Usage tracking

The Company tracks user traffic patterns throughout the Sites. Every interaction is tracked based on the logged in user. The Company also breaks down overall usage statistics according to a user’s domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user’s browser).

The Company tracks and catalogs search terms User enters in our Search function, associating these terms with individual users. The Company uses aggregated tracking information to determine which areas of the Sites users prefer based on traffic to those areas. Additionally, aggregated tracking is used to determine how well each page performs overall. This helps to continuously build a better service for Users.

Cookies

In order to facilitate a User’s login to the Sites, a text file called a “cookie” is placed in the browser files of a User’s computer. The cookie itself does not contain personal information. It enables The Company to relate User access of the Sites to information that users have specifically and knowingly provided as well as information about users already in Company database. Cookies cannot read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. The Company uses cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above) and to facilitate the login process. Other third parties, such as vendors and business partners, may use cookies or other technologies on our Sites for similar purposes.

Cookies are required to use our Sites.

USE OF INFORMATION

The Company uses any information voluntarily given by users to enhance their experience when accessing Company Services, whether to provide interactive or personalized elements on the Sites or to better prepare future content based on the interests of users.

Information voluntarily provided by users in order to send out electronic newsletters and to enable users to participate in Event(s), polls, surveys, and message boards. The Company also uses information for the purposes for which users provided, such as to deliver user-requested services or to respond to user inquiries.

Users and subscribers will receive newsletters on a predetermined schedule (schedule varies based on Event). Occasionally, users will receive special edition newsletters with new Event(s), infographics, and post-Event information.

The Company uses the information collected to determine which areas of the Sites users prefer to tailor content to suit user needs and help sponsors better understand audience demographics. The Company creates aggregate reports on user demographics and traffic patterns and anonymized search terms, survey responses, discussions, and peer questions for advertisers, sponsors, and partners.

The Company reserves the right to use the information collected to enforce the legal terms that govern the use of our Services.
